The Vermont Everyone Eats Documentary

Early in 2022, SEVCA’s Kevin Brennan was inspired to produce a documentary so that the story of this remarkable effort in Vermont could be shared throughout the U.S. and recorded for future generations. Between March 2022 and March 2023, filmmaker Corey Hendrickson met with dozens of VEE Hub managers, farmers, restaurant owners and staff, community distribution partners, meal recipients, VEE Task Force members, administrative staff, and others across the state, capturing hundreds of hours of stories on film and weaving that footage into a half-hour documentary.

Many thanks to all of the people who contributed to this project by consenting to being filmed and/or interviewed. The resulting film, Ramen Day: The Vermont Everyone Eats Story, has won awards in multiple film festivals . It will be shown in select theaters across Vermont in 2024, then later made available online for public viewing. View the trailer HERE. If you have questions about the VEE documentary, please contact Chris Meyer at cmeyer@sevca.org or sevca@sevca.org
